  • "The Role of Fungi in Human Health and Disease" at the Telluride Mushroom Festival in 2017. From the spores we breathe in with every inhalation to the normal yeasts and molds living in our intestines, fungi play an important role in causing human disease and maintaining human health. Telluride Mushroom Festival (August, 2017).
  • ​Jonathan gave a talk about "Medical Mycology" - from mycotoxins to infections, an overview of the role of fungi in human disease; given to the Boston Mycological Club (2014), Eastern Penn Mushroomers (2014), Mycological Association of Washington (2014), and the Telluride Mushroom Festival (August, 2015). 
  • “Modern Medicines from Nature” - an overview of therapies used by modern physicians that come from plants, fungi, animals, metals and even from other humans; given at the Barrow Arctic Science Consortium (BASC), Barrow, Alaska (May 2012), and the Harvard Outing Club (October 2013).
  • "Prehistoric Crafts" - a demonstration of materials and ancient tools made of stone, antler, skin, sinew and wood; give to the New England chapter of the Explorer's Club, June 5, 2015.
